Master Data Steward

Are you enthusiastic about working in a truly global company? Are you driven by data and systems, and motivated to deliver top-tier service to a diverse group of stakeholders? Then this opportunity could be your perfect next step!

Who we are

Svitzer is a global leader in towage services, aiding our customers in safely and efficiently manoeuvring their large vessels in and out of ports worldwide. Operating in over 35 countries and across 110 ports, we primarily support container vessels, cargo ships, cruise ships, and navy vessels. Additionally, we respond to emergencies such as drifting vessels and offshore fires. Our company is embarking on an exciting journey, exploring new digital and environmentally friendly products and partnerships to pave the way for a cleaner, greener future in towage.

At Svitzer, we prioritise people. Joining us means becoming part of an international community with a professional, ambitious, yet relaxed atmosphere. With a flat and lean organisational structure, we foster a collaborative, inclusive, and enjoyable working environment.

We offer

As a Master Data Steward, you will play a vital role in supporting Svitzer Procurement's transformation journey, both within the Group Procurement team and toward our regional organisations. You will develop and implement best-in-class master data management systems and processes, contributing to the management of procurement data flows.

Moreover, the role provides an opportunity to refine existing practices, enhance your skills, and build a strong foundation for career growth.

Reporting to our Procurement Process Excellence Manager, you will be based in Mumbai, India.

Key responsibilities

As a Master Data Steward, you will create and maintain Procurement master data (users, items, and contracts), supporting key stakeholders to improve Procurement to Pay processes globally.

You will drive continuous improvement of procurement master data, processes, and related systems, collaborating closely with Procurement Process Excellence Manager to establish data quality metrics and standards.

Leveraging your experience and expertise, you will proactively address master data management issues, analyse solutions, and collaborate with senior stakeholders for resolution.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate holds a relevant educational background in business administration, computer sciences or engineering, coupled with 2-3 years of practical experience in global master data management.

You are a natural team player, with a knack for interacting with your colleagues and supporting a wide range of stakeholders.

You take pride in your ability to timely and accurately resolve master data management issues, utilising your excellent communication skills to keep stakeholders informed throughout the process. And with a keen eye for detail, structured approach, and adherence to guidelines, you strive for process excellence and improvement.

Join us

If you are ready to take on this exciting challenge and make a significant impact with master data management, we encourage you to apply latest 20 March 2024 and become part of our journey.
