Job Description : We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Data Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic team of data engineers. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in analytics, database management, ETL processes, and business intelligence. The candidate should possess excellent leadership skills to drive innovation, manage projects, and ensure the successful execution of data engineering initiatives. Responsibilities : Team Leadership : - Lead and mentor a team of data engineers to achieve departmental goals. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment. Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members. Data Architecture and Design : Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient data architectures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide strategic solutions. Analytics and Reporting : Utilize Python, R, SQL, Excel, and Google Colab for advanced analytics and reporting. Develop and maintain data models to support analytical processes. Create insightful and actionable dashboards using tools such as Metabase and Google Data Studio. Database Management : Manage databases including PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift, DynamoDB, Aerospike. Optimize database performance, ensuring data integrity and security. Warehouse Management : Oversee data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake and S3. Implement and manage data storage solutions for efficient data retrieval. ETL Processes : Implement and manage ETL processes using tools like Airflow, DBT, and custom-made Python scripts. Ensure the reliability and efficiency of data pipelines. Business Intelligence : Drive the implementation and adoption of business intelligence tools. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights. Frameworks and Tools : Work with frameworks such as Spark, Dash, and StreamLit for data processing and visualization. Utilize Amundsen for data discovery and cataloging. Collaboration and Documentation : Use collaboration tools like Git and Notion for version control and documentation. Ensure comprehensive documentation of data engineering processes and workflows. Qualifications : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. 10-15 years of experience in data engineering and management.- Strong proficiency in analytics, database management, and business intelligence.- Extensive experience with Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools. - In-depth knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift, DynamoDB, Aerospike) and data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, S3). - Hands-on experience with ETL processes using Airflow, DBT, and custom-made Python scripts. - Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Git and Notion.- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
