Senior Director Engineering
The Honeywell Fire GBE at Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS) is responsible for engg and product development of new & current products and solutions for HBT business group, and platforming, and new technology for insertion into NPI.
The leader for this team is responsible for driving engineering strategies to support the business growth from HTS India by aligning with global strategies.
Apply strong business acumen, domain background & industry engineering experience to provide leadership and direction to a diverse group of professional engineers working with global teams to build and support outstanding products and service.
Work with the Engineering Teams to enable and drive collaboration with the global community so that work done in HTS fully aligns with the global business value creation.

Technology and Business:
Act as single point of contact for all HBT-Fire development for HTS HBT India
Accountable for deliverables on global offerings
Work with x-functional teams in Offering, R&D, ISC, Sourcing to develop a robust program/project/product pipeline, drive the execution of product development and ensure on time delivery, cost and quality specs.
Contribute to E4E India growth & drive E2R strategies.
Ensuring HTS domain performance is linked closely to the business metrics such as on-time delivery, yield, product/project costing
Conduct competitor benchmarking to determine baseline of competitor product features and areas of differentiation/advantage
Leading continuous improvement efforts through the institutionalization of Agile and other practices like Honeywell Operation System (HOS), Velocity Product Development (VPD) practices.
Accountable for providing deep dive focus on different programs in each functional area.
Accountable for ensuring sustained capability development through adherence to CMMi Level 5/Scaled Agile & DevOps practices
Actively involved with global partners in implementing and executing the business priorities
Taking complete ownership in resolving issues/escalations in consultation with senior management and global organization

Strategic Impact
Support and develop Strategic Priorities (STRAP) for HBT-Fire in alignment with global teams. Plan and execute Annual Operating Plan (AOP) aligned to business goals.
Responsible for formulating strategies for effective growth, productivity and people engagement in collaboration with global team
Driving innovation, creating growth ideas relevant to global & local markets and products.
Building roadmaps for the global and regional markets
Participating in the organization building practices such as framing of strategic priorities and future direction of the business
Establishing benchmarks on cycle time performance & demonstrating year on year improvements in productivity through reuse, automation, simulation, modelling, etc.
Work closely with regional and global product marketing leaders for idea conceptualization and to drive regional market growth.

Talent Management and Development
Engage with global leaders with Honeywell Performance Development (HPD), Global Compensation Planning (GCP), Management Resource Reviews (MRR), Technical Resource Reviews (TRR) and rewards and recognition
Mentor / coach / guide experienced leaders reporting into this role.
Driving effective people practices through effective hiring strategy, rewarding, motivating & retention strategy and talent differentiation for high performance.
Collaborating with leaders and stakeholders in HTS to make available all resources at appropriate time & offering pro-active support to a range of multi-disciplinary teams.
Role modelling the Honeywell Values & Behaviors and driving the culture & behaviors across the teams.
Responsible for developing people and competencies that are required for future growth with specific emphasis on building top talent for key leadership positions and tracking succession depth for all key positions.
Plan, build, train and sustain human resources and lab infrastructure for seamless execution of projects. Involves collaboration with leaders and stakeholders to make available all resources at appropriate time, stepping beyond structural boundaries through effective networking. Creates an environment to leverage opportunities working across Business Units/domains
Offer pro-active support to a range of multi-disciplinary teams and understand the concurrent needs and demands of both short and long-term projects.
People and performance management experience of mid-sized product development teams
A good people leader, quick to identify people problems, fosters teamwork and ensures transparency and fairness in all actions

Engineering degree with 15 plus years of experience in Engineering; exposure to product development through all stages of the project life cycle
Experience at director or equivalent level in managing large, cross-site, engineering teams
Proven track record of successful senior level cross functional experiences
Strong program management, process management, technology & strategy management skills experienced technical manager of development engineering.
Deep Product development and engineering experience.
Strategy experience& Experience in leading transformational delivery initiatives
Excellent executive communication and leadership skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate diverse groups, help negotiate priorities, and resolve conflicts
Ability to work in highly matrix environment and manage constant change and evolution
Keen and aware of the business and technological opportunities and challenges
Strategic thinking and effective management implementation on complex projects
Strong evidence of change management expertise
Strong innovation mindset: Market focused mindset and ability to anticipate changes in customer's needs
