Roles And Responsibilities

The role of the city team is primarily vendor management for smooth city operations.

  • Vendor onboarding: Search and speak to Packers and Movers vendors ,spot partners and local supply. Explain about our platform, understand their capabilities and onboard those who fulfill our criteria.
  • Vendor training: Once the vendor is onboarded, train the vendor's team about Porter standards. Training would also be required for old vendors from time to time.
  • SLA management: Ensure a good experience for customers and minimum complaints from them. The customers are primarily looking for on-time shifting with no damages and the packing team not asking for tips. This can be done through training, penalty, suspension and on-field audits. Non-performing vendors need to be terminated.
  • Vendor allocation and Order fulfillment: Allocate vendors to customer orders.
  • Escalation handling: Handle any escalations related to orders and resolve them.
  • Suggest ways to improve the service/business.

Skills

  • Ownership: Setting up a new business requires taking very high ownership and hard work.
  • Comfortable with change: Open to trying new things .
  • Communication: Comfortable in communicating with vendors in a patient and respectful manner.
  • Process Oriented: For the business to scale, we need to follow the processes
  • Aptitude: Comfortable with understanding the vendor economics and doing basic calculations required.
