What You Will Do
As the Director of Data Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Customer, Material, and Vendor Master Data Governance on a global scale. You will lead the management and governance of master and core operational data, ensuring robust data quality and compliance with internal and external data regulations, policies, and procedures (GXP, SOX, PII). You will be tasked with designing and managing data workflows, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations for Customer, Material, and Vendor Master Data Governance globally
- Manage and govern master and core operational data, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies
- Own and continuously improve data management workflows to ensure streamlined processes
- Drive data operational excellence through intelligent automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce manual workload, and improve data quality and compliance
- Govern and monitor data quality; partner with Supply Chain functions to drive timely remediation of errors
- Identify new data quality tests and partner with various departments to improve operational procsses in support of higher data quality
- Lead the design and implementation readiness for the new global Master Data Management Platform
- Support the global implementation of SAP S4 Hana, including driving Master Data key design decisions and providing globally harmonized functional requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of business experience with at least 5 years of Data Management, Supply Chain, or other relevant functional experience
- Prior experience in a leadership role within data management or other relevant department, preferably in a global organization
- Extensive knowledge of data governance, data quality, and compliance requirements (e.g., GXP, SOX, PII)
- Demonstrated experience implementing and/or managing Master Data Management platforms (e.g., SAP MDG).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve complex data quality issues
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing intelligent automation initiatives
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and their integration with data management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience implementing and/or managing global ERP systems (e.g., SAP S4 Hana) is preferred
- Experience leading global, geogrpahically dispersed teams is preferred
- Experience working across Supply Chain domains (planning, manufacturing, delivery / logistics, quality, procurement) is preferred
- Experience working within Consumer Packaged Goods sector is preferred
