Job description
Brief Job Description:
1. Firewall Management:
• Lead the design, configuration, and maintenance of firewall systems to protect the organization's network and data.
• Continuously monitor and analyze firewall logs and alerts for potential security threats.
• Implement firewall policies and rules to enhance network security.
2. Antivirus Management:
• Oversee antivirus software deployment and updates to protect endpoints and servers.
• Develop and maintain antivirus policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with IT teams to ensure effective antivirus protection across the organization.
3. Patch Management:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive patch management strategy for all systems and software.
• Prioritize and schedule patch deployments while minimizing disruption to business operations.
• Monitor and assess the impact of patches on system security.
4. Vendor Coordination:
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure security compliance and risk management.
• Evaluate and select security vendors and solutions in alignment with the organization's security needs.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to security products and services.
5. Cloud Management:
• Oversee the security of cloud-based infrastructure and services.
• Implement and maintain security controls, identity and access management, and encryption for cloud environments.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents in the cloud.
6. Secure Gateway Management:
• Administer and maintain secure gateways to control access to critical resources and applications.
• Monitor and enforce secure gateway policies to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
7. VPN Administration: having routing and switching experience.
• Manage and maintain the organization's Virtual Private Network (VPN) infrastructure.
• Ensure secure and reliable remote access for employees and external partners.
• Troubleshoot and resolve VPN-related issues.
8. Team Management:
• Lead and mentor a team of security professionals, setting performance expectations and providing regular feedback.
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Manage staffing, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
9. Project Management:
• Plan, execute, and oversee information security projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
• Monitor and report on project progress and risks.
