Overview

The individual will be responsible for managing and developing sales in their respective regions and working closely with the operations and sales in achieving the overall business development agenda of the company.

Responsibilities

  • You set a vision of sales for your region, keeping the AIT India vision in mind, and you develop and adhere to a business plan in line with this vision:
  • You translate sales objectives to concrete action plans to ensure revenue growth;
  • You consistently meet the projected monthly sales targets for new business - ocean & air freight
  • You have a flair for meeting new customers daily and converting quick wins
  • You accurately forecast sales revenue streams and you formulate yearly budgets;
  • You ensure continuous improvement of sales quality, productivity and procedures.
  • You establish and maintain professional relationships:
  • You identify prospects and establish sales action plans;
  • You cultivate relationships with internal and external customers;
  • You verify and present realistic calculations for proposals/tenders;
  • You work closely together with the Operations team and the Branch Manager to serve current customers adequately and to seize opportunities.
  • You are responsible for supervising and achieving the sales objectives:
  • You are in charge of overseeing KPI's and provide measuring points to evaluate sales quality and productivity.
  • You monitor market trends and identify competitive activity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline or equivalent
  • 6-10 Years of sales experience with minimum 3 years in a Freight Forwarding company
  • Exposure to Ocean and Air Freight Forwarding Sales
  • Experience in managing sales for a region
  • Ability to analyze numerical data and understand components, relationships, find patterns and draw conclusions.
  • Basic knowledge of CargoWise
  • Basic knowledge or ability to learn country regulations and AIT policies & procedures that minimize risks to the customer and company.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret verbal and written requests/directions.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of people; can effectively present information in one-on-one settings
