- Job Purpose
Project and Improvement Manager will analyze and define the value chain network and define and initiate required business improvements to drive operational performance (service and costs).Also, responsible for driving Supply Chain improvements in Business projects, Lighthouse and Merger & Acquisitions. Also manage Master data support, maintenance for planning teams and commercialization activities for New Product Introduction and sourcing allocations.
3. Job Responsibilities
Project and Improvement Manager :
- Ensure proper roll out of NPIs in SESA region.
- Work closely with PM team and drive successful transition of NPIs.
- Drive key Critical projects in respective countries.
- To drive the NPI projects with the SESA countries and resolve roadblocks (as and when) for smooth project transitions.
- Present ISC projects & Capex investment in the sourcing board for approval and drive actions for the successful closure in agreed timelines.
- Collaborate with Industrial performance team on network optimization.
- Drive various Commercialization projects in the region, track the returns and reporting to the hierarchy.
- Work with Supply Planning Managers & Industrial performance team on key projects like OTIF, Inv & SLOB management.
- Represent ISC in the IGRs & PMRs, provide relevant inputs from ISC sides and drive and close ISC actions from the meetings.
- Seek offline approval from SC & manufacturing ISC director.
- Collaborate with Marketing teams of SESA countries on NPI-ISC metrics, minimizing SLOB generation, easy & timely roll out of NPIs
- Drive along with Supply Chain Manager (Deco SCM), key global initiatives in SESA region.
- Work with Supply Chain Manager on finalizing & reviewing Rough cut capacity planning and facilitate V-SMR (IBP) meetings.
- Prepare outcome of V-SMR to SMR, IR & MBR (IBP) meetings for business decision making.
- To ensure agreement and alignment of Gap closing action for long term (IBP) horizon to be agreed and aligned in key IBP meetings
- Roll out barcoding projects in SESA sites for painter activation program.
- Drive Acotone and other business critical projects in SESA region.
- Drive project SLIM (cholesterol inventory reduction) along with Supply Chain Manager in the region
- Work with Site logistics, and planning team on SLOB management within ISC function.
- Drive Service levels as per agreement with commercial team along with ISC stakeholders to meet the customer demand
- Work with Industrial Performance & supply chain teams on master data management & MRP roll out.
- Collaborate with procurement team on reducing the lead times via consignment models, localization & MOQ reduction.
- Work on digitization & automation in planning, System and processes to reduce day to day operational activity to enable planners & Supply Planning Managers to focus on decision making.
- Standardization of planning processes and improve IBP maturity level in SESA region.
- Work with other BU's on sharing best practices and cross-BU Cross- country standardizations.
- Work with logistics to optimize the network and look for cost reduction opportunities in the region.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and propose batch size reduction to optimize Inventory and reduce SLOB.
Key Performance Indicators
- NPI OTIF – Ensure On time and In Full NPI launches
- DC: Service – ensure on time and in full targets (OTIF) measured as delivery capability are achieved.
- DIO: Inventory levels – maintain correct stock balance whilst adhering to operating working capital targets in days and in value
- SLOBs: manage SLOBs with proactive reduction once there and preventive not to generate them
- Rollout of MRP in 4 big countries in DECO-SESA.
6. Job Requirements
Essential educational qualifications, relevant experience and requested skills.
The successful applicant should meet the following requirements:
- University Education with at least 6 years’ experience in FMCG, Paint/Coating or Retail industries Supply Chain Improvement or consulting
- High level of experience on Supply Planning, IBP processes, Planning tools, Supply planning, planning in SAP ECC and BI
- Change management: ability to manage a diverse range of stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and communicator, able to listen, able to handle team tensions
- Stress resistance, flexible, problem solving attitude
- Project Management skills
- Seen by others as credible, trustworthy, and open to new ideas
- Focused on results
- Good problem-solving skills, able to identify and structure issues, run accurate analyses and synthesize recommendations
- Strong desire to challenge and improve status-quo
