Job Summary
Applications are open for an experienced Research Nurse to join our research team. For the purposes of brevity the term CRP is used to represent all health professionals working in a patient facing role in clinical research including nurses, midwives, AHPs, scientists and clinical research practitioners on the relevant AHSC register. Due to the current needs of the portfolio this post is open to Registered Nurses only. The successful candidates will have extensive research experience, in both industry and academic studies. They will work on mixed portfolios within the City and Sandwell sites. They will be working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to support and deliver research projects relevant to our local population in a variety of clinical settings. Main duties of the job In addition to assisting clinicians and other members of the research team, the successful candidates will support research patients throughout the research process ensuring the well-being and safety of patients at all times. They will perform study related procedures, including participant assessment, informed consent, clinical examinations and reporting adverse events. The post holders will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability and initiative to work independently and manage a patient caseload across a variety of trials & studies. They will be required to prioritise their own workload and be responsible for the management of a caseload of clinical trial patients. They will be required to work autonomously and will also be responsible for identifying new research opportunities, coordinating and managing a number of clinical trials.
