Position Summary...
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

About Team: Enterprise Business Services is invested in building a compact, robust organisation that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, Associate Digital Experience.
What you'll do: You will be part of a global engineering team that caters to learning needs for all associates across the globe at Walmart. The team leverages/implements standard modules as well as builds custom developments that integrate with several systems meant for associate learning related solutions. The solutions developed could potentially enable millions of users achieve efficiency in their day to day processes and thus enable massive cost savings for Walmart.
Your Responsibility shall include:
- Lead cross-functional teams spread across geography to deliver complex program
- Define, monitor and improve critical to success metrics for the success of the program
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
- Plan and manage multiple parallel projects
- Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
- Apply best practices to the software development life cycle for projects based on experiences with a number of agile and blended approaches, as well effectively coordinating the implementations across teams using very different approaches
- Interact with Project Sponsors, Project Stakeholders and multiple business and technical teams to define and deliver complex features
- Work very closely with various business stakeholders to drive the execution of multiple business plans and technologies
- Ensure consistent and transparent status updates with all stakeholders (engineering, Business, product, leadership)
- Ensure the following of Scrum and Kanban Rituals as needed
What Will You Bring - An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS/PhD in any stream – Computer Science preferred.
- 3-7 years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry and relevant work experience in internet-related program and/or technical program management in a software applications environment
- Experience building processes, project management, and release schedules.
- Strong project management & cross – group collaboration skills.
- Prior experience with agile methodologies
- Solid understanding of the current web technologies and general ability to ramp up and go deep into based on need.
- Think creatively and critically about product features, architecture, and capabilities with innate curiosity and ability to self-start in an ambiguous and rapidly changing startup environment
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
- Preferably CSM/SAFe certified
- Strong experience in Project Management Information systems including but not limited to Jira and Confluence
- Understanding of Business Processes eg: Finance/Accounting, and have basic knowledge of Scala,Java,SQL,JQL,React, REST API, Microservices is added advantage.
