What Success Looks Like In This Role
We are seeking an experienced
QA Team Lead to join our dynamic team. As the QA Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our ServiceNow applications. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of testers based in India, driving automation initiatives and implementing ATF across various ServiceNow instances.
Key Responsibilities Leadership and Team Management: - Lead and mentor a team of ServiceNow testers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Coordinate daily activities, workload distribution, and performance evaluations.
Automation Strategy And Implementation - Develop and execute a comprehensive automation strategy for ServiceNow testing.
- Implement the Automated Test Framework (ATF) across multiple ServiceNow instances.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in test automation.
Test Planning And Execution - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Oversee end-to-end testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Ensure test coverage for ServiceNow modules and integrations.
Continuous Improvement - Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Regularly assess testing processes and tools, recommending enhancements.
Collaboration And Communication - Work closely with development teams, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and ensure alignment.
- Communicate test progress, results, and risks to stakeholders.
- Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet-related computer programs.
- Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications, such as materials management, financial management, HRIS, mobile apps or desktop applications products.
- Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications.
- Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
- Models and applies software engineering methods and techniques to the design, development, evaluation, integration, qualification and/or support of complex products, tools or technologies in one or more areas of expertise.
- Often assumes technical and project leadership roles.
- May function as a consultant or researcher.
- May manage schedule, quality and technical solution on assigned projects in coordination with project leadership. May overs schedule, quality and technical solution performance of staff.
You will be successful in this role if you have: - Requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience or equivalent work experience.
- Specific technical skill requirements include proficiency in demonstrating/performing one or more skills in each technical skill group.
- Knowledge and experience with software and system engineering lifecycle and tools including requirements development, requirements management, and software sustainment.
- Knowledge of system and software architecture frameworks.
- Strong expertise in ServiceNow testing, including ATF.
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
