What a Senior Manager Third Party Risk Management - CEMEA does at Visa

Visa's Third-Party Lifecycle Management team is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the CEMEA Region's TLMP Program. This includes owning the risk assessment and due diligence processes, both at on-boarding and throughout the lifecycle as part of TLMP execution. The ideal candidate will be process driven, an excellent communicator and able to develop approaches that scale. Building influence in cross-functional partnerships and developing customer relationships across the organization is a crucial part of this role.

The Senior Manager is expected to ensure all aspects of the assigned functions adhere to the Third-Party Lifecycle Management Policy and Procedures. This position reports to the Senior Director, Corporate Risk- CEMEA based in Dubai, while maintaining functional alignment with the Global team who provide program leadership and guidance. This role is based in Bangalore, India.

Primary Responsibilities For This Role Will Include

  • Lead and implement the Third-Party lifecycle Management program for Visa CEMEA, including risk assessment of new suppliers periodic risk assessment of existing third parties.
  • Proactively engage on opportunities to work with the business to educate partners on the Third-Party Lifecycle Management program.
  • Responsible for compiling global monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc dashboard and reporting for management
  • Lead risk related contract provision reviews on third-party agreements to ensure contracts reflect and include governing risk obligations.
  • Effectively partner with Sourcing leads and Business Partners on key sourcing needs while providing training, strategic support and recommendations to advance procurement initiatives and processes
  • Lead sophisticated projects and meetings, deliver presentations and comfortably interact with all levels of Visa management including Finance and Global Risk senior management
  • Ensure TLMP policies and procedures, and Visa Supplier Manager tool capabilities are implemented according to approved goals and policy
  • Coordinate with risk partners across the organisation to understand compliance requirements
  • Develop detailed procedural documents, trainings and communications
  • Represent Third-Party Risk in Sourcing, Risk or Visa-wide working groups and committees
  • Ensure constant alignment of TLMP Program with regulatory requirements including FFIEC, OCC and other applicable regulations
  • Support the team with special projects and initiatives: special projects vary from pivotal initiatives to day-to-day operations. Support needs will vary by project and will require, excellent written and verbal communications, and ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for an experienced individual with a curiosity about payments and Fintech, who is Customer focused.

  • 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 6 years of relevant experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Solid understanding of Anti-Bribery, Information Security, Business Continuity, Physical Security, Records Management, Call Center, Reputational and Financial risks
  • Working knowledge of contract terms and conditions
  • Strong understanding of the inherent risks associated with engaging suppliers to perform services and support projects/initiatives
  • Equally effective leading projects and conducting data-driven analysis
  • Extraordinary data analysis and problem-solving skills with demonstrated intellectual & analytical rigor, ability to summarize raw data to tell a simple story supported by data to management and partners
  • Responsible for compiling monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc dashboard and reporting for management
  • Proven ability to communicate sophisticated issues in a clear, concise and impactful way – turning research and raw data into hard numbers into compelling stories and useful strategic insights to a variety of partners
  • Seasoned professional individual contributor, ability to work independently under limited supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and achieving results, with an emphasis on how work is being accomplished
  • Naturally curious with a bias for action.

What will also help (Preferred Qualifications):

  • 8 years of experience working with supplier or vendor assessment frameworks, information security and/or operational risk programs within the payment industry
  • Excel power user a plus
  • Professional accreditation in risk management a plus, Proficiency in Financial Systems (Ariba, Aravo, Oracle, Coupa, IBM) a plus
