Job description

Position Overview: As a Security Executive at our plant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our employees, assets, and property. You will be responsible for overseeing the security operations, managing a team of security personnel, and implementing effective security measures. The primary objective of this role is to maintain a safe and secure environment that supports the smooth functioning of our plant operations.

Key Responsibilities: Security Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day security operations at the plant, including access control, surveillance, and patrolling. Monitor security systems, such as CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control devices. Conduct regular security checks to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions. Team Management: Schedule shifts and assign duties to security staff, ensuring adequate coverage at all times. Train security team members on security protocols, emergency procedures, and safety measures. Incident Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and breaches, taking appropriate actions to mitigate risks and maintain control. Document and report all security incidents to appropriate authorities and management. Security Policy and Procedure Implementation: Enforce adherence to security policies, procedures, and guidelines within the plant premises. Collaborate with management to review and update security protocols as needed. Access Control and Visitor Management: Ensure proper access control measures are in place to restrict unauthorized entry to the plant. Manage the visitor registration process, including issuing visitor passes and escorting visitors when necessary. Vendor and Contractor Management: Oversee the security aspects of vendor and contractor activities within the plant. Verify that contractors comply with security regulations and have necessary permits. Safety Compliance: Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to ensure alignment with safety protocols. Assist in conducting safety drills and training exercises for emergency situations. Security Reporting: Generate regular security reports detailing incidents, security breaches, and activities within the plant. Provide insights and recommendations for improving security measures. Qualifications and Requirements: Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in a security-related role, preferably in an industrial or plant setting. Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage and motivate a security team effectively. Knowledge of security technologies, such as CCTV, access control systems, and alarm systems. Familiarity with emergency response procedures and crisis management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, visitors, and external authorities. High level of integrity and ethical conduct. Physical fitness and ability to handle physically demanding tasks. Basic computer skills for generating reports and using security-related software. Relevant certifications in security and safety would be an advantage (e.g., Certified Protection Professional, First Aid/CPR, etc.).
