Job description
We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist who is passionate in understanding System operating principles and Failure modes of mechanical hardware and develop different Stochastic and Machine learning models that can accurately segregate/predict impending problems among fielded assets.
Responsibilities:
- Work with different Functional teams in identifying Business problems with impact analysis
- Acquire Data from primary or secondary data sources available in structured and unstructured form
- Perform Data modeling activities such as data cleansing, merging and enrichment etc.
- Perform feature engineering through extracting meaningful features from measured and/or derived data
- Perform exploratory and targeted data analyses to get key insights
- Build Stochastic and Machine-learning algorithms that potentially address business problems
- Combine models through ensemble modeling for high fidelity/accuracy in prediction
- Review and operationalize the models working with Product/IT teams
- Generate reports, annotated code, and other project artifacts to document, archive and communicate outcomes
- Follow standard Software development Lifecycle practices in developing Predictive models
Demonstrated expertise in critical thinking and problem-solving methods
Demonstrated expertise in presentation and communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in multi-task and manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a global team environment
- Should be a self-starter with minimum dependency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Engg, Statistics, Operations Research or other quantitative field and Advanced Degree (Certificate) in Data Sciences.
- Min 3 to 5years of proven experience as Data Scientist in developing Prognostic models for Manufacturing and Industrial applications.
- Strong proficiency in Statistics, Stochastic and Machine-learning methods and Time series analysis.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python Programming is essential
- Proficiency in Alteryx Designer and Tableau is a plus
- General awareness on application of Industrial Machinery such as Compressors, Refrigerators, IC engines etc.
