Job Summary – Java Architect Total Experience - 10-15 Years ( Preference 13 + years) Location - Chennai Design and architect transformational journeys for legacy modernization Lead large and complex Azure/AWS or on-prem application transformations advocating and guiding the overall transformation program Develop a backlog of stories centered on continuous modernization of the applications in scope. Complete tasks and stories assigned to you in the backlog. Tenaciously champion core behaviors like collaboration, communication, and ownership. Years of experience needed – 10 – 13 yrs Technical Skills App Modernization Architect responsibilities: Design and architect transformational journeys for legacy modernization Lead large and complex Azure/AWS or on-prem application transformations advocating and guiding the overall transformation program Develop a backlog of stories centered on continuous modernization of the applications in scope. Complete tasks and stories assigned to you in the backlog. Tenaciously champion core behaviors like collaboration, communication, and ownership. Coordinate with project managers, business analysts, developers, operations teams to understand platform requirements, the system & data, and evangelize ways to drive quality and value to the client stakeholders Champion the establishment and continued use of Azure/AWS/on-prem best practices Provide training and coaching as needed to teams modernizing and transforming applications. Support release planning preparation and event facilitation Build high-performing teams across development, quality assurance, and infrastructure. Share best practices for design & development. Drive the team's triaging capability by taking on challenging problems not understood by front-line support teams Continuously review the technology landscape and advise clients on emerging technology solutions to drive differentiation in our services value proposition Desired Skillsets Experience in Microsoft Azure or AWS Cloud Services Experience with enterprise-level software delivery and release management practices Experience in configuring/administering Azure Services, Kubernetes, Kafka or other Experience with modern cloud architecture patterns and approaches. Ability to create and effectively deliver technology solution presentations to address specific customer needs Working knowledge of cloud-based infrastructures, SDLC pipelines, Agile, and deployments/configurations and definition/evangelism of best practices/standards Demonstrated expertise in architecting, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade technical solutions meeting complex business requirements while evangelizing integration methodologies and helping business case justification to C-level executives Development experience in languages such as Java Microservices, React JS, Mainframe, Analytics, UX or others. Deep practice experience in modernizing applications into PaaS, Containers, Kubernetes, Serverless, or other modern cloud technologies. Advanced Systems Design Experience with micro-services or cloud-based architectures for enterprise solutions Development ( AZ-204, AZ-400) and/or Azure Solution ( AZ-30x) or AWS or similar certifications Bachelor's degree or related experience. A Master's degree is a plus Over all IT experience of 10 to 13 Years 4-5+ years of experience in Implementing and Leading solutions across multiple disciplines (application architecture, infrastructure and operations, security, governance, automation, integration architecture) 4-5+ years of experience in the Banking / financial institute Detailed knowledge in the following: agile methodologies, database design, business analysis, systems analysis, solution architecture, software patterns, object-oriented design, n-tier Strong Hands-on experience in Java 11, Spring Boot, Swagger, Maven, Gradle, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes Spring Actuator, Circuit Breaker, Hystrix, Linux, DB2, Tomcat, PCF, WFRIA/REACT, Kakfa, REDIS, Automation testing framework Strong understanding and knowledge in design and implement cloud-native application / legacy migration (Cobol to Java) Proven experience in implementing Microservices architectural patterns Expertise in Spring, Spring-Boot frameworks, Confluent/Apache Kafka Experience in Istio, GKE Anthos Strong understanding of Netflix, Spring Boot Design the deployment architecture for Micro Services to achieve the best performance, fault tolerance, redundancy and scalability. Good exposure on Restful APIs and stateless server approaches Experience with a variety of DB technologies such as SQL/NoSQL (Postgres/Cosmos DB) Experience in architecting with DevOps tooling and processes Lead and take part in cloud readiness assessments, workshops, roadmap, cost benefit analysis, and application modernization discussions Provide architectural guidance and collaboration between stakeholder organizations to ensure that solutions meet industry requirements.
