Job description
Responsive f/k/a RFPIO Inc., the leading strategic response management software on the market, is looking for someone to join our growing Procurement and Vendor Management team. This is a mid-level role for someone who already has a solid knowledge of providing overall contract review and purchases for software and various technology services in accordance with the established policies of the organization.
The Procurement/ Contracts Specialist will prepare, review, negotiate vendor agreements and purchase orders and support key stakeholders in ensuring the vendor contract terms align with business requirements including company compliance with agreed terms.
Essential Responsibilities:
Review, cost proposals and negotiate vendor contracts.
Compare bids from vendors and assist with determination, to whom contracts will be awarded
Provide negotiation direction for software contracts by working with supply vendors
Support vendor compliance audits
Maintain records in asset management system of agreements, open/in-process requests, license counts, and other pertinent lifecycle vendor data
Support business leaders in evaluating vendors, negotiating terms, balanced against the best interest of the organization.
Identify, assess, and recommend vendor selection in support of vendor relations.
Assist in maintaining relationships with vendors, coordinate communication, and execute corrective actions if necessary.
Participate in regular audits/quarterly business reviews of targeted vendors to assist Sr. Procurement Specialist discussions with internal customers and vendors to assist in internal adoption and/or contractual obligations are being met
Support development of enterprise level procurement services and strategic initiatives.
Proactively support relationships with vendors and internal customers, including Finance and Marketing.
Participate in projects to redefine and improve procurement/vendor operations.
Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers by providing timely and accurate information in response to inquiries
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management or related field
Experience:
5- 8 years of related experience; an advanced degree may be substituted for work experience
Demonstrated expertise with Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Demonstrable experience working with international vendors and co-workers
Working knowledge of managing and administering RFPs, RFIs, etc.
Experience with one or more of the following is highly desired but not required: Salesforce, Conga CLM, Contract and Vendor Management software is highly desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
Procurement certification preferred (CPM, etc.).
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Extensive knowledge of contract principles and procedures
Purchase to Pay knowledge is desirable.
Mid-level understanding of software license terminology
