Job description
Entropik is looking for a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about deep tech engineering. This role will give exposure to product architecture and best practices in cloud engineering and streamlining data pipelines in a fast-paced development organization.
Ideal candidates will have relevant experience in Amazon/Google/Azure cloud, microservices, CD pipelines, APM tools, and, of course, agile methodologies.
Responsibilities - Design, Implement, and Support CI/CD pipeline
- Understand the system architecture (logical and physical) at high-scale systems
- Write scripts to monitor systems and automate routine tasks
- Maintain our infrastructure across multiple technologies to ensure high uptime
- Design and develop tooling to assist development teams
- Experiment new tools and/or processes to improve the team routines and communication
- Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack (diagnose software, application and network)
- Document current and future configuration processes and policies
- Take ownership of existing systems including all tools, technologies and licenses used by Entropik
- Work with product management to ensure DevOps is aligned to the overall vision of the company and can scale on demand
- Monitoring and Administration of high-availability systems
Requirements - Expertise with multiple scripting languages (Bash/Python/Ruby/Groovy/etc.)
- Linux certification/ working experience is a must
- Experience in setting up and automating build amp; release management across environments
- Administration, scripting and automation with Amazon Web Services cloud
- Working knowledge of ECS (or equivalent) and Kubernetes is a plus
- Good to great understanding of APM applications (Datadog, NewRelic, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.) and deployment/ system integration/configuration management tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform)
- Knowledge of Administration of SQL databases and in memory DB clusters such as Memcached, Redis, etc.
- Web and application server administration: Apache, NGNIX
- Working knowledge of DynamoDB or Cassandra or MongoDB NoSQL solutions at scale
