Role Overview
Are you a candidate with a strong experience in Facultative re/insurance industry Are you looking forward to work closely with the Regional facultative underwriter to support them in Pre-underwriting activities and simple and Lean costing. If yes, here is your opportunity to be part of a growing P&C Business Services Designated Facultative team across APAC.
For this role, you need to have in-depth knowhow about insurance and reinsurance products and markets. Deliver timely and accurate business-processing, operational and technical support to underwriting process for Property & Casualty Facultative Underwriters.
Duties and responsibilities directly impact productivity, process efficiency, timeliness, profitability, and accuracy of the underwriting process. In addition, you are expected to be a good teammate with dedication, eagerness to learn and collaboration skills.

Main tasks/activities/responsibilities
- Supporting Pre-underwriting activities, handle submissions by performing risk clearing and compliance related checks (AML, ITC) while setting up the reinsurance risk in Swiss Re system and bind the risk in tools as per final agreed terms.
- (i.e., Contract binding, Endorsement processing, accounting queries, data quality checks and documentation handling).
- Ensure proper coordination with FAC P&C Desk underwriters, FAC Hub Bangalore and other team members on business deliverables.
- Build and maintain good relationships with your stakeholders, continuously seek feedback for individual and team growth.
Evaluate and make improvements to Business processes
- Ensuring e2e process effectiveness by overseeing Business Services processes.
- Monitor respective portfolio performance including data quality, timeliness and key targets
- Challenging existing processes and closely collaborate with Business Services enabling team to drive/implement changes as needed
- Analyzing implemented changes and make further adjustments to workflow, schedules, or other processes
About You/ Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Insurance and Reinsurance industry.
- Good understanding of Facultative Property/ Casualty insurance principles with end-to-end underwriting process flow.
- Knowledge of P&C lines policy conditions and wording.
- Understanding on quotation and submission data analysis
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Effective team player with a positive outlook and proven ability to work in globally located team situations, understanding, and demonstrating sensitivity toward cultural differences
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills in English. Other foreign language will be good to have.
