With this position we offer :
Join the Global Storage team for Nasdaq. The main objective for the storage team in Bangalore is to administer, design, deploy, and maintain best in class storage and backup solutions for both on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure. As our new member, you will work with a group of enthusiastic and experienced team members. Together with your team, you will be responsible for enterprise storage and backup solutions.
Your role and responsibilities : As a Storage Administrator, your focus will be maintaining, deploying, and upgrading storage and backup solutions at Nasdaq. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.
- Design, develop, solve and implement storage and backup solutions both on-prem and cloud based.
- Maintain, upgrade, and monitor San switching technology from Brocade.
- Participate in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, and upgrades of storage and backup technologies.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential problems/issues including working with other internal technology departments within Nasdaq as well as external storage and backup support providers.
- Collaborates with others across disciplines to brainstorm solutions to the most complex, uncommon problems; shares outcomes with the rest of the team.
- Provides guidance and expertise on complex, non-routine issues.
- R edirects solution implementation if desired results were not originally met.
We expect you to have : - Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in Storage Administration.
- Experience with Hitachi, NetApp, and Pure storage administration utilities and tools such as Hitachi OpsCenter, NetApp OCUM.
- Expertise with SAN storage solutions from Brocade (SANNAV and FabricOS).
- Expertise on Veritas NetBackup server and client administration.
- Understanding of HA/ failover for storage controllers and fabrics.
- Experience evaluating new storage technology solutions, coordinating storage migration projects, data center consolidation, data replication, and technology refreshes.
- Mentoring and guiding the team members.
- Must be flexible working on US shift hours (Night Shift).
- As a senior contributor acts as the escalation point for both internal and external people as it relates to their discipline.
- Bachelors or Masters' Degree in Computer Science, MIS or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
It would be great if you: - Deep knowledge on storage systems such as Hitachi, NetApp, and Pure Storage.
- Knowledge of enterprise data protection software from Veritas (NetBackup).
- Full understanding of storage SAN switching technology from Brocade.
- Knowledge of VCS clustering is a plus.
- More than one Storage Administration Certification.
