Job description
What we expect from you: 6+ years of experience in an engineering role with hands on experience in a public cloud environment. Azure and/or GCP preferred, however not limited to, and exposure to any other public cloud provider i.e., AWS. Experience working with and maintaining CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, TeamCity, Octopus, GoCD, etc.) Experience working with and maintaining version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab) Experience working with and maintaining package management systems (e.g. Artifactory, APT) Experience building automation and pipelines (integration, testing, deployment) Experience with Docker containers (images and registry management) Experience with Kubernetes to orchestrate the deployment, Scaling and management of Docker containers. Experience with scripting in Python/Bash/PowerShell Experience with Ansible, Puppet & Terraform for writing most of the infrastructure automation. Knowledge of Go, Perl, Ruby programming languages Knowledge of APM and Observability Knowledge of building and troubleshooting C++ based application is highly desirable. Understanding of metrics collectors such as Graphite or Prometheus is good to have. Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment, while producing quality code Ability to work collaboratively on a cross-functional team with a wide range of experience levels Ability to analyse existing services and identify technical debt to work toward increasing sustainability Finds creative way to execute even when there is no historical context or known path forward Ability to design roadmaps and relevant solutions for end-users to access interfaces Ability to assess the benefits, risks and success factors of potential applications Strong mentoring and coaching skills that encourage growth for more junior members
