Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Stock Market Trader - Terminal Operator to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing trades, monitoring market movements, and managing positions using trading terminals. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, technical analysis, and risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Execute buy and sell orders for stocks, derivatives, and other financial instruments using trading terminals.
- Monitor market trends, news, and economic indicators to identify trading opportunities and risks.
- Analyse technical indicators, charts, and patterns to make informed trading decisions.
- Manage trading positions and risk exposure, including setting stop-loss and take-profit levels.
- Maintain awareness of market liquidity, volatility, and trading volumes to optimize execution strategies.
- Keep detailed records of trades, positions, and performance metrics for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Stay updated on market regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in trading operations.
- Continuously assess and improve trading processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a stock market trader or terminal operator.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, trading strategies, and technical analysis techniques.
- Experience using trading terminals (e.g., Bloomberg Terminal, Reuters Eikon, etc.) and trading platforms.
- Proficiency in executing trades across different asset classes, including equities, options, and futures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and make quick decisions under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Sound understanding of risk management principles and the ability to manage trading positions and exposure effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks.
- Knowledge of market regulations and compliance requirements relevant to trading operations.
