Role And Responsibilities

The Back Office Trainer will be responsible for supervising and training the back office staff in daily backend store operations. The key responsibilities include:

  • Managing back office staff and coordinating orders
  • Training back office staff in butchering, cutting, grinding, and preparing cuts for sale
  • Designing service flow and training at the back office
  • Training staff for kitchen handling, including cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
  • Ensuring displays and signage are accurate and attractive
  • Training staff on weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products
  • Keeping records, budgets, and inventory
  • Performing quality inspections on meats and other products
  • Adhering to food safety and sanitation controls
  • Training staff on greeting and speaking to customers, providing advice, answering questions, and accepting orders or payments
  • Coordinating deliveries or order pickups
  • Reading billing orders and performing tasks on time
  • Checking hygiene, temperature, cleanliness, and butchering standards
  • Scheduling back office staff shifts
  • Working in collaboration with the front office staff
  • Informing for supplies and equipment, as needed
  • Ensuring compliance with mandatory uniform and sanitation standards
  • Storing products in compliance with safety practices
  • Keeping weekly and monthly performance reports
  • Handling conflicts between staff

Candidate Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role should have:

  • BSC/BA degree or Diploma in Hospitality or Hotel Management or relevant field
  • Proven experience in kitchen handling and butchering techniques
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
  • Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
  • Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in teaching
  • Phenomenal communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
  • Organizational and time management abilities
  • Critical thinking and decision-making
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work well with people across different cultures
