Job description
Risk Management Group works closely with bank's business & support units to manage the bank's risk
exposure by balancing its objective to maximize returns against an acceptable risk profile. Technology is key
driver & enabler to achieve the business objectives of the Bank & managing the risk at same time. We are
constantly challenged by ever changing technology landscape, increasing customer sophistication / demands
and introduction of new / updated regulatory requirements.
We need passionate Technology Risk Managers who play a high impact role as second line function in
managing bank's technology risk and cyber security posture. This includes identifying potential technology and
cyber security risks associated with existing, evolving & new technology systems in its initial implementation &
operational components & business processes, assessing potential impacts and engaging with other
technology leaders on the risk treatment options based on enterprise risk appetite.
The role is expected to - Drive effective implementation of Technology Risk Management Program
- Monitoring Key risk indicators related to Technology & Cyber Security
- Verify the accuracy of regulatory reporting related to Technology Risk Focus areas
Role:- Cross-discipline exposure to various aspects of technology with applications and infrastructure knowledge in
financial institutions, including Technology Project & Operations phase, vendor risk management, resiliency
and service management, disaster recovery management & third party risk management are essential part for
this position. The role should be inquisitive on risks and controls issues in technology & able to provide risk
mitigation plans. Communication skills are important to inform management about the potential risk issues,
provide actionable reports, including articulating impact on policy changes. There will be opportunities to
represent Technology Risk's view in risk forums & different levels of risk committees.
Job Duties & responsibilities:-- Partner with stakeholders across Group Technology to assess and manage Technology Risks issues like technology refresh (end of life/support), security configuration, change mgt & system resiliency/availability
- Oversight of remediation of issues arising from 1st line (Technology) identification of deficiencies like
internal and external IT incidents, including deep dive reviews to identify root cause & remediations.
- Ability to review and challenge application resiliency design & monitoring thresholds for IT operations
- Provide robust tech. risk management oversight in supporting internal audits & regulatory inspections
- Perform the third party vendor risk reviews & ongoing monitoring at periodic intervals for service delivery
- Monitor the key risk indicators in technology domain & verify the accuracy of data & regulatory reporting
Experience:-- Min. 10 years relevant experience in Technology projects or operations areas in various IT platforms
- Strong proficiency in technical/product expertise and knowledge in relevant fields of tech platforms
- IT professional with proven experience in implementing technology platforms or system projects in banks
- Experienced with infrastructure and security platforms
- Sound knowledge in regulatory requirements in banking environment and industry standards/ frameworks
such as ITIL, SANS, COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001/2
- Experienced IS or risk professional with experience and exposure to Agile, DevOps, SRE and security
- Practical experience assessing or building controls for AWS, GCP, Azure or other cloud services
Education / Preferred Qualifications:-- Degree or certifications in Technology -Computer Science/Telecommunication or Information Systems etc
- Relevant certifications like CEH, CISSP, SANS, Comp TIA+, OSCP, LPT, CCSP, CCNP, CHFI or any
domain specific certifications (Network Security, Cloud Security, Incident Management, Firewall etc.)
