Mandatory Skills - Python, Data Engineering, Data Modelling and pipelining, Any Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) Responsibilities The ideal person will have expertise in a range of data, analytics, and integration technologies, with a focus on cloud data platforms. Certifications across AWS, GCP and Azure will be an added advantage. The following are the typical job functions: Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses Define the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modelling, metadata, security, reference data such as product codes and client categories, and master data such as clients, vendors, materials, and employees Define reference architecture, which is a pattern others can follow to create and improve data systems Define data flows, which parts of the organization generate data, which require data to function, how data flows are managed, and how data changes in transition Collaborate and coordinate with multiple cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system. Design models of data processing that implement the intended business model Develop diagrams representing key data entities and their relationships Generate a list of components needed to build the designed system Defining current mode of operation (CMO), transition mode of operation (TMO) and future mode of operation (FMO) state architectures Generating Conceptual and/or High-Level Design to support data architectures Reviewing designs provided by the customers Leading Data Architecture Engagements and promoting Frameworks where necessary Defining end-to-end Data Architectures Building and optimizing data pipeline architectures and data sets; both batch-oriented and real-time from both relational & non-relational DBs Design, develop and customize mappings/workflows for different types of loads Leverage various transformations to work on data ingestion, data profiling & data quality Support and play a pivotal role as part of a data engineering team to build the data lakes, delta lakes, etc. Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP Provide a standard common business vocabulary, which expresses strategic requirements and outlines high-level integrated designs to meet those requirements. All of this will align with the enterprise strategy and related business architecture Visualize and design data management framework. Understand business needs, explore the existing data structure, and create a blueprint for building an integrated framework of easily accessible, secure data aligned with business strategy. Design the best approach suited for data migrations Ensure optimum performance of the mappings and workflow Work with dynamic cross-functional teams including business, Solution architects & Data engineers Leading and developing architecture teams Joining the dots between Business, Technology and Data architectures Input into the shaping of Data Architecture engagements Deliver Data Architecture engagements with/ for our clients Understand Data Science and how it operates in the cloud including Trusted Research Environment concepts Understand data streaming from sources such as IoT Remain up to date with the regular changes in the Data Technologies and ensure that this knowledge is made available to the wider Data & Intelligence practiceJob tags
