Tamil Nadu (Team meets bi-weekly in Chennai) Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Staff Engineer. The Senior Staff Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software solutions. They will also lead and mentor teams, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and participate in the product roadmap planning process. Our APIs are RESTful, primarily written using Java 11/17 and micro-services are in python. You will work independently and will also be responsible for making technical decisions within a team. Our development strategy is agile and we work in small Scrum teams of 3–4. Everyday, you will be working on developing and improving features built primarily in Java, Kotlin, Python, Typescript, Cassandra and MySQL. Qualifications Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java/Kotlin and/or Python. Knowledge of Micro-service, Queuing, Batching and REST API. You will be a data-driven, analytical engineer with an eye for detail. Experience in designing, developing, and testing scalable software solutions Experience with cloud-based architectures and services such as AWS Strong understanding and ability to implement software development best practices and agile methodologies Ability to lead and mentor teams of engineers Excellent communication and collaboration skills Experience in the data science industry is a plus Willingness to constantly learn new technologies Perks Work remotely.
