Business Overview Olympus Medical Systems India has a wide portfolio of products that are equipped with the latest innovative and superior technology. Olympus deals primarily in three verticals i.e. Gastrointestinal, Respiration & Surgical divisions and contribute to the medical society with state of the art product categories that includes, Video Endoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound, Bronchoscopy, Endotherapy devices in Gastrointestinal & Respiratory range whereas Surgical division includes High definition imaging system and Energy products to deal with Laparoscopy, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Urology field.

Role Overview

The Solution Architect (SAP) is responsible for defining the technical vision for the assigned solution to deliver business outcomes globally. The role working closely with global delivery lead for Enterprise Solutions to align project and technology blueprints to enterprise standards and works with supporting functions to ensure aligned, deliverable, end-to-end designs. The role provides specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered. This role is responsible for the quality and delivery of assurance on projects, builds out the capability roadmaps and ensures alignment to the technology strategy.

Illustrative Responsibilities

Design and Build Provide detailed specifications on functional and non-functional requirements for proposed solutions. Assess the systems architecture currently in place (AS-IS) and work with project management and development teams to recommend improvements (TO-BE) to the architecture. Evaluation and proposed new TO-BE solutions if needed. Support the solution build and integration to meet the requirements of the organization. Evaluate project constraints to find alternatives to the design, alleviate risks, and perform re-engineering if required. Provide supervision and guidance to development teams and help resolve technical problems as they arise. Stay apprised of relevant vendor/application roadmap(s), including scope of upcoming planned releases. Continuously research current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed or add value to the solution.

Governance and Communications Assess the business impact that certain technical choices have, accounting for possible project challenges on constraints including risks, time, resources, and scope. Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives, as well as defining and managing expectations for proper execution. Inform various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented. Provide updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.

Architecture Community Actively participate in an architectural community (e.g., Architecture Board) to share good practice and lessons learnt from a regional perspective as well as to hone skills and master technical capabilities. Deepen the Solution Architecture capability among the Solution Architects. Support in defining, implementing, and maintaining Global IT’s application and technology standards across geographical regions.

Supervisor Responsibilities This position is a member of the corporate solutions domain, working closely with the regional delivery lead of Enterprise Solutions Supply Chain Management, in SAP domain.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education · Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field (or equivalent and related experience).

Experience Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in solution design, build, deploy and maintenance. Knowledge with SAP PI/PO and SAP CPI will be good. Good experience with SAP ECC 6.0 / S/4 Hana Proven experience in SAP ERP platform and project design. Experience with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF. Basic understanding of business analysis techniques and processes. Basic knowledge and experience in project management, process modelling, data modelling, and systems analysis. Knowledge of working with business processes in the assigned domain (if applicable), preferably in medical related fields.

Skills Demonstrable business and tech acumen. Detail orientated.
