Oversee complete gamut of New Product Development activities like Process Development, Tool, Fixtures & Cutting tools Design and Development, Product Design, Prototype development, testing, manufacturing, business management, techno commercial emphasizing, validation, and approvals on RFQ and ECN’s and PCN’s
To increase the efficiency & effectiveness by New Product Development & tools, fixtures & cutting tools & its designing.
Define specifications for new products process while meeting quality and cost standards.
Ensure documentation of process for all new products Work in close co-ordination with customers, understanding the requirements and identifying/suggesting appropriate improvements etc.
Ensure prototypes and fixtures are developed on schedule and within budgets.
Capture the Development costs at various stages and ensure it is within the agreed terms with the customer.
Identify new products and facilitate the feasibility study with feedback from Marketing / Management.
Ensure trails are conducted to substantiate the potentials of the product opportunity.
Communicate frequently with all project disciplines to ensure that both, the project team, and senior management are aware of upcoming milestones and risks/issues.
Track metrics with respect to new product development timelines etc.
Support Marketing team by providing technical services for existing products.
Provide direction and leadership support to team members to achieve business results.
Pilot production, Pre-Launch and handing over to production.
Communication with Internal / external Customers.
To increase productivity like operation merging, time study & line balancing etc.
BOM & routing in ERP.
APQP, PPAP, SPC,MSA, FMEA, PFMEA, DFMEA.
GD&T techniques, 7QC tools, 8D, Auto CAD.
Modeling software for Product & Tool & Fixture design.
VA/VE practices for Waste Elimination/ Reduction in product/ process.
Kaizen activity for cost saving and yield improvement, improvement in productivity & continual improvement.
Manpower planning and monitoring man hour’s utilization.
Developing skilled work force by giving Training.
Conduct performance review with the Team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Work independently and collaboratively. Possess a high level of self-motivation, initiative and innovative problem solving.
Appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
MIS report preparation and submitting as per the management requirement.
Implementation of quality system in line with requirement of ISO & IATF standard.
