Job description

To provide technical support for the manufacturing process in the designated area.

DIMENSIONS:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. PROCESS PRODUCT:

• Responsible for all the Technology related tasks in Extrusion and Bead process
• Responsible for coordination with CFT, Technology team, RD for supporting New Product Development(NPD )actions and all other Extrusion Process related actions.
• Industrialize of new dies as per time line- Annual NPD plan
• Responsible for all the Process spec and standards in Extrusion and Bead process and part of CFT in making PFMEA, Control plan, SOP etc.,
• Profile variation, weight variation, Process capability improvement in extrusion and bead processing
• Analyze product failure due to extrusion and bead process variations and take necessary improvement measures
• Review of key product and process parameters and initiate actions.
• Generate quality improvement projects to improve the product performance and process efficiencies
• System implementation, monitoring and control. Support OEM other external audits
• PDCA approach to continual improvement for Productivity, Quality, waste reduction etc .

1. TECHNICAL ECONOMY:

• Product specification optimization in the designated area.

1. CLAIMS LOSSES:

• Monitor process rework and scrap and maintain plant indicator within target limit .

1. TECHNICAL QUALITY TASKS:

• Provide technical know-how and inputs to the designated sections.

• Analyse Extrusion process variations and take necessary countermeasures

• Analytically sound to analyse the data should retrieve any statistical data available in the system.
• Knowledge of die designing based on profiles received from new product development team.
• Good knowledge in extrusion process trials and tooling management.

• Proficiency in Tyre Manufacturing Technology (Capable)

(Technical knowhow ability in Extrusion process, production processes, systems, layout plans and quality measures)

• Proficiency in Plant systems processes (Foundational)

(Ability to understand implement 5S, safety practices, production best practices, QBM and other contemporary systems process.)

B.E. Mechanical / B.Tech ( Polymer/Rubber Technology)

EXPERIENCE

7 to 12 years

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

(IF ANY)

ESSENTIAL

Wire Cut/CNC programming knowledge able to design die for relax extrusion.

Experience on Extrusion process and component rework handling.

DESIRABLE

ISO-IATF 16496, Statistical knowledge to interpret data, PDCA, Improvement projects in previous organization, system.
