POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Networking Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a
deep understanding of cloud networking technologies, architecture, and best practices. As a Senior Cloud Networking Engineer, you will play a
pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our cloud networking infrastructure to ensure the highest levels of performance,
security, and scalability.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
ï'§ Design, implement, and manage our cloud networking architecture across multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
ï'§ Develop and maintain network security measures in collaboration with our security team, including firewalls, intrusion
detection/prevention systems, VPNs (Virtual Private Network), and encryption techniques, to safeguard sensitive data and applications.
ï'§ Create, standardize, and maintain detailed documentation of the physical and logical network topology.
ï'§ Monitor, maintain and document trends related to the global cloud network for faults, performance, and capacity.
ï'§ Troubleshoot network/incidents problems. This includes on-call responsibilities.
ï'§ Participate in a formal incident rapid response process for priority incidents.
ï'§ Participate in capacity planning to accommodate current and future workload demands.
ï'§ Participate in scheduled maintenance, outage response, last minute urgent requests.
ï'§ Make proactive recommendations for changes to the global network environment.
ï'§ Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
ï'§ Stay current with industry trends and emerging cloud networking technologies and assess their potential impact on our environment.
ï'§ Follow and enforce Change Management guidelines and processes.
ï'§ Communicate with colleagues, management, customers, vendors, and others in a courteous, professional manner.
ï'§ Perform other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND BEHAVIORS
ï'§ Ability to take initiative, and exercise professional, independent judgment to plan work, formulate recommendations, and make sound
decisions.
ï'§ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical
stakeholders.
ï'§ Proven experience in designing and implementing complex cloud networking architectures, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
ï'§ Network monitoring, maintenance, and optimization. Bonus: Experience with monitoring tools like Site24x7, OpsManager.
ï'§ Dynamic routing protocols BGP, EIGRP, OSPF
ï'§ Understanding of Azure DevOps, CI/CD and Terraform
QUALIFICATIONS
ï'§ BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with a focus on networking.
ï'§ 6+ years of experience in supporting network environments at an enterprise scale.
ï'§ 3+ years of data networking design, installation operation and support in a distributed environment
ï'§ 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud networking with a focus on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
ï'§ Professional certification such as the CCDP, CCNP, CCNA, CCDE, Azure Certified Network Engineer or equivalent.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
ï'§ Duties are performed in a typical office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
ï'§ Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
