Job Title

Payroll & Administration Specialist

Payroll

  • Candidate should have in-depth knowledge of payroll and statutory compliance
  • Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently with zero errors
  • Support daily/monthly/quarterly salary reconciliations and tax filing requirements, including year-end reporting, FORM 16, Payment summary, etc
  • Compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages and reporting on this
  • Supports audits of payroll and employment tax data before payroll completion while following all established controls
  • Respond to payroll related inquiries from employees and/or key stakeholders
  • Manage the full & final settlement for left/terminated employees.
  • Interacts with suppliers and Vendors / Consultants / Govt. or labor officials as per requirement
  • Manage vendors and system providers including compliance with service level agreements and their payments
  • Supports department by conducting high quality analysis, issues recommendations and contributing to planning, as required.
  • Verify and maintain compliance with government payroll/tax requirements
  • Keep abreast of the India's current and changing payroll and employment tax laws.
  • Review and audit current processes to ensure compliance, while recommending and implementing changes where required
  • Having APAC payroll experience will be an added advantage

Insurance

  • Manage insurance portfolio (GMC, GPA and GTLI) end to end from renewals to year end activities
  • POC for insurance partners and employee
  • Responsible for monthly employee additions and deletions from data base
  • Responsible for insurance payments and any audit

Compensation

  • Take part in market surveys and be the POC for market data
  • Support in compensation review cycle for the company

Requirement

  • Masters degree with 9+ years of work experience in payroll-related operations, with a minimum of 5 years of payroll and employment tax experience in a large, IT/ITES organization and 3+ years in compensation management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Demonstrated ability to hold information confidential with excellent judgment
  • Solid understanding of payroll operations, payroll tax, associated principles and compliance requirements
  • Intermediate to advanced analytical skillset, including the use of Excel
  • Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience with Workday system highly preferred
