Job description
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **User Research:** Conduct user research to understand user behaviors, needs, and preferences. Translate research insights into actionable design solutions that align with business goals.
2. **Wireframing and Prototyping:** Create wireframes and interactive prototypes that visually communicate the layout, flow, and functionality of digital products, ensuring intuitive user experiences.
3. **User-Centered Design:** Develop user personas, user journeys, and scenarios to guide design decisions that prioritize the needs and expectations of the target audience.
4. **UI Design:** Design visually appealing user interfaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly. Develop consistent design systems, including color palettes, typography, icons, and other visual elements.
5. **Responsive Design:** Design interfaces that are responsive and adaptable across various devices and screen sizes, ensuring a seamless experience for users on desktop and mobile platforms.
6. **Collaboration:** Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other designers, to ensure the successful implementation of design concepts.
7. **Usability Testing:** Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to validate design decisions and identify areas for improvement. Iteratively refine designs based on user feedback.
8. **Accessibility:** Ensure designs adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG) to create inclusive experiences that cater to users with varying abilities.
9. **Visual Prototyping:** Create high-fidelity mockups and visual prototypes that showcase the final design look and feel, including interactions and animations.
10. **Stay Current:** Stay updated on design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to bring innovative ideas and solutions to the design process.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and case studies.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar software.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and usability principles.
- Experience with user research techniques, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Solid knowledge of responsive design and mobile-first design principles.
- Familiarity with design systems and the ability to create and maintain consistent design libraries.
- Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, and color theory.
- Excellent communication skills to present and explain design concepts to stakeholders and team members.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to find creative solutions to design challenges.
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Familiarity with front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus
