Role: Media Lead - India
Location: Gurugram, India
Key Accountabilities or Responsibilities :
Provide support to the CMO on media-related solutions that support brand building and business objectives. Ensuring the development and implementation of business-aligned media plans could impact the performance indicators.
Drive integrated media strategies across traditional, digital, retail, and First Party Data domains (paid, owned, and earned) to build and strengthen brand building.
Establish and manage an effective media governance process.
Continuously advance, leverage, and optimize the relationship with agency & Vendor partners by building trust and maintaining positive rapport to drive business results.
Apply emerging consumer data and analytics including MMM and Mallocate to create innovative media solutions and drive more intelligent reach.
Closely collaborate with the Media Transformation transversal project team, effectively manage the media team, and drive talent development.
Work closely with the content team and Creative Agency to develop relevant and fit-for-platform assets based on platform needs & business objectives.
Collaborate with the D-com team with platform identification, negotiation & strategic planning.
Work together with commercial teams to ensure media is bought efficiently.
Team up with marketing teams to monitor and optimize non-working media across India.
Context and Scope
Media Portfolio Management
Working and non-working media budget and portfolio management
Manage budgets, and ensure the advertising budget is in line with the company P&L and phasing
Drive strong reach optimization, set overall media reach KPIs, and ensure delivery working with agency partners
Align different business functions on media outlook (Finance & Demand planning)
Media Strategy
Translate business requirements and marketing strategies into media communication strategies and measurable KPIs
Leverage media tools and agency partners to establish touchpoint planning and media budget allocation
Deliver category, brands, and competitive insights and business reviews
Support the brand team in delivering a content strategy in line with objectives and platform specifics
Media Planning and Buying operations
Review and align agency proposals ensuring they are in line with business objectives and KPI benchmarks
Play an integral role in the full media process of briefing, annual media strategies, and campaign-level planning with the media agency
Manage key vendor relationships (agencies, digital vendors, JBPs)
Initiate and Own FPD gathering, storage, segmentation, and usage with Brand teams and agencies
Deliver periodical post-campaign analysis, insights, and learning
Lead Media Operations, budget management, governance of media buys, proof of performance and periodic budget actualization, PO issuance & tracking.
Measurement and Reporting
Monitor and report all media campaigns and activities (Media Pricing, KPIs, Quality of exposure)
Ensure all media is verified through documentation (screening certificates, agency reports, 3rd party verification, digital trackers)
Establish and manage effective media governance
3rd party verification partners management and digital quality of exposure
Preferred Experience:
8-10 years of experience preferably in media planning and buying, preferably from the FMCG/Media & Advertising industry
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
Good Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to advertising and marketing
