POSITION SPECIFICATION Company: MATHEMATICAL COMPUTING SOFTWARE COMPANY Position Title: SOFTWARE ENGINEER IN TEST-SIMULINK UI Location: BANGALORE, KA Reports To: TECHNICAL MANAGER Description: Responsibilities: As a Software Engineer in Test - you will provide strong technical input to the testing of Simulink UI. In addition, you will engage early in the software development process, influencing requirements specifications, and discussing software design and testability with software engineers. As a member of the QE department, you will work closely with the Engineering, Documentation, Program Management and Technical Support departments.
Design and develop test suites for new UI Components, with a strong emphasis on Extend testing framework for increasing testability, and contribute to the long term automated testing vision and strategy of the company. Develop test strategies and test procedures based upon functional and design test automation. specifications. Analyze and report bugs and work with software engineers to resolve them. Participate in functional specification, test specification, documentation, and code reviews. Foster a continuous process improvement environment Qualifications: The incumbent should possess strong verbal and written communication A bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or equivalent experience) is required. Experience with JavaScript Additional Qualifications Experience with JavaScript, ES6, HTML5, CSS, Dojo Experience with JavaScript test frameworks or tools, such as QUnit, Synthetic Event Library, FuncUnit Familiarity with MATLAB Experience with OOAD Experience with C++ and C++ unittesting frameworks Experience with Performance testing Experience with Code coverage tools Experience with build and continuous integration systems Good interpersonal and communication skills Motivation and good time-management skills Relocation: YES ABOUT THE COMPANY: The Company is a $1.25 billion company that employs over 5000 employees worldwide.
