Job Title: Sales / Application Engineer

Reporting Manager: Regional Sales Incharge

Grade: Senior Officer / Asst. Manager / Deputy Manager/Manager

Location: Chennai

Main Task & Responsibilities: -
Developing new customers
- Product Development in South India mainly in Automobile & General Engineering Segments
- Understand customer needs and be able to provide design assistance to the
- Negotiating tenders and contract terms to meet both client and company's needs.
- Calculating client's offers/quotations.
- Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions with customers and suppliers.
- Strengthening existing customer relationships & developing new ones.
- Marketing analysis: to monitor & evaluate the local competitors and follow the market evolutions.
- To achieve yearly sales targets.
- Responsible for checking on the status of payments and liaising with the accounting team, as well as keeping the management and/or sales manager updated.
- Responsible for updating the sales database and preparing sales reports as required by the management and/or sales manager.

Eligibility Criteria:  

Candidate fulfilling following criteria would be given preference
- B.E (Metallurgy / Mechanical / Electrical) - 3-4 years of experience in Steel Sales
- Fluent in local language
- Candidates from competitors in Chennai
