Job description
- Review and edit raw footage, including selecting the best takes, arranging scenes in a logical sequence, and adding special effects, music, and sound effects.
- Collaborate with the director and other members of the production team to ensure the final product meets their creative vision and specifications.
- Use non-linear editing software to assemble the footage, make corrections and modifications, and add visual effects, music, and sound.
- Ensure that the final product is of the highest quality, with clear and precise audio and visual elements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in video editing technology and techniques, and incorporate them into the work where appropriate.
- Manage the file-based workflow, including the organization of digital assets and backups.
- Work within tight deadlines, often under pressure, to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
Desired Skills - Bachelor's degree in film, video production, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio of work.
- Proficiency in non-linear editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
- Strong technical skills, including an understanding of audio and visual editing techniques, color correction, and special effects.
- Excellent creative skills, with an eye for visual storytelling and an ability to interpret the director's vision.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work closely with the director and other members of the production team.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to quality control.
