Job Description: The Litigation Lawyer will be primarily responsible for representing the Boston Institute of Analytics in civil and criminal lawsuits, offering guidance on legal proceedings, and ensuring that the companys rights and interests are robustly defended. Key Responsibilities of the Candidate: Case Management: Manage all stages of litigation, right from initial evaluation through appeal. Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, motions, and other court documents. Coordinate with witnesses, experts, and external counsel as required. Legal Research: Undertake exhaustive legal research to provide evidence and case law that support the company's litigation position. Stay updated with the latest legal trends that can influence the company’s case. Legal Representation: Represent Boston Institute of Analytics before courts, governmental agencies, or in private arbitrations. Engage in mediation or alternative dispute resolution as necessary. Advisory Role: Offer comprehensive legal advice to company management ensuring compliance and risk mitigation. Guide different teams on the legal implications of their operations. Document Review: Thoroughly review, analyze, and categorize documents, understanding their significance in ongoing litigation. Stakeholder Liaison: Facilitate effective communication between internal teams, external counsel, and other stakeholders. Align company litigation strategies with broader business goals. Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to counteract them. Continuously strive for improvements in risk management standards. Compliance: Monitor and ensure all litigation activities align with company policies and meet external regulations. Liaise with the compliance team to integrate best practices in litigation processes. Reporting: Periodically update the senior management on the status of litigation cases, potential risks, and changes in strategy. Qualifications: A law degree from a reputed and accredited law school. Valid license to practice law in India. A total of 3-15 years of combined litigation and non-litigation experience, with a preference for candidates having exposure in both Civil & Criminal sectors. Proficiency in legal research tools and software. Demonstrable analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities. Self-driven with the capacity to work independently, yet flourish in a team environment. Exceptional attention to detail coupled with an ability to work under stringent deadlines. Familiarity with Intellectual Property Laws will be considered a significant advantage.Job tags
