Job Overview:
The Associate NOC Manager will oversee the Network Operations Centre (NOC) and is responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. This role includes leading a team of IT professionals to monitor and manage the network, servers, and telecommunications infrastructure to guarantee high availability and performance. The Associate NOC Manager will also be in charge of incident management, problem resolution, and executing continuous improvement processes.
Responsibilities and Duties: - Team Leadership and Management :
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of NOC Engineers and Support Staff.
- Manage shift schedules to ensure 24/7/365 coverage of the IT infrastructure.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Operations Management:
- Oversee the monitoring of network, server, and telecommunications infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Ensure that all incidents are identified, triaged, and resolved within SLA timeframes.
- Coordinate and manage the response to critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and communication to stakeholders.
- Maintenance and Improvement:
- Develop and maintain operational procedures and documentation.
- Implement and oversee IT infrastructure projects and upgrades.
- Analyse performance data and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for escalations and communicate effectively with stakeholders during incidents.
- Prepare and present regular reports on NOC performance and issues to IT leadership.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and other external partners.
- Collaborate with other IT leaders to align NOC activities with the organization's strategic goals.
Qualifications: - Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in network operations or a similar role.
