Job description
In a fast paced, high expectation, results oriented environment, the Asset Resolution Legal Analyst will be responsible for assisting Asset Resolution in-house counsel and managing a portfolio of non-performing real estate collateralized commercial loans and REO. Core responsibilities include the development, implementation and monitoring (while working with outside counsel) of appropriate collection, loss mitigation and recovery strategies, weekly reporting and quarterly file analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and report on all legal matters and litigation related to non-performing real estate collateralized commercial loan portfolio, including REO, toward most effective and efficient resolution
- Conduct proactive and effective case analysis in accordance with established performance standards
- Assist Asset Resolution in-house counsel with monitoring and managing commercial litigation / bankruptcy / foreclosure activities, functions and deadlines
- Liaise with Asset Resolution in-house counsel and outside attorneys, collection agencies and other vendors that support the loss mitigation effort
- Prepare case specific legal analysis and reporting for Asset Resolution in-house counsel
- Assist in legal budget and legal invoice tracking for the Asset Resolution Department
- Other projects and duties as assigned
- Minimum four-year college degree in Law Degree or related field
- Licensed to practice law
