We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Specialist, Graphic Designer
Position Purpose:
As a Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating visually appealing and engaging multimedia content for our learning platforms. You will work closely with our instructional designers, subject matter experts, and content developers to design graphics, animations, and videos that enhance the learning experience. The graphic designer is intimately involved in how form and function come together to create amazing learning experiences for our audiences—executed through a balance of graphic design expertise and knowledge of the content objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities include:
- Create visually appealing and effective visual assets for VILT, ILT, and On-demand eLearning materials, including infographics, illustrations, icons, and other graphic elements.
- Design engaging user interfaces for eLearning modules and courses.
- Ensure consistency in design, branding, and user experience across all learning content.
- Create, edit, and enhance instructional videos for all courses.
- Incorporate animations, transitions, and other multimedia elements to make learning content engaging and informative—adding additional value whenever possible and appropriate.
- Optimize graphics and media for various platforms and devices.
- Collaborate closely with instructional designers and subject matter experts to understand learning objectives and content requirements.
- Communicate effectively and present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders for feedback and approval.
- Organize and maintain a library of visual assets and video resources for easy retrieval and reuse.
- Ensure that all graphics and videos adhere to copyright and licensing regulations.
*Individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods, or otherwise to contribute to the organization when needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, multimedia design, or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing work in various learning modalities (VILT, ILT, and On-demand eLearning) materials and instructional videos, with the ability to align design with educational objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, creative, and able to work independently across global time zones.
- Strong attention to detail and effective time management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (especially PowerPoint and Word), maintaining brand standards, using/maintaining templates and creating other native PowerPoint elements.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in producing high quality and engaging educational content, to include multimedia graphics and images and interactive learning elements, created in Adobe Creative Suite and Articulate 360 platforms, preferred.
- Excellent creative and technical skills, with an eye for detail, aesthetics and downstream impacts of design decisions and processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an extended global team environment.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus (Canvas preferred).
- A service orientation that may involve assessing the needs of a variety of stakeholders, using a consultative approach to deliver the greatest impact for the organization.
