Role Description
- Plan and coordinate sowing activities, field layouts, and other breeding-related tasks.
- Plan and execute controlled crosses to produce desired genetic combinations.
- Oversee generation advancement processes for varietal development.
- Conduct DUS characterisation of all products and their parental lines
- Maintain accurate breeder records, including field books, and ensure systematic data recording and
- entry.
Qualifications
- A Master's or Ph.D degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding is a must.
- Proven experience in plant breeding with a focus on crop improvement.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, proficiency in data management, and knowledge of breeding techniques and technologies.
- Candidates should be willing to move to Raipur (Chhattisgarh) and be open to working in remote village settings.
