Job description

1. Must have: CSWP equivalent experience developing Mechanical Designs (Solidworks or Fusion)
2. Must have: 1+ year of experience working on ANSYS
3. Must have: Designed and fabricated mechanical parts and assemblies
4. Must have: Understanding of engineering drawings
5. Must have: Experience with Rapid Prototyping and 3D Printing
6. Must have: Ability to get your hands dirty
7. Must have: Attention to detail
8. Good to have: Experience with injection moulding, CNC machining, die fabrication, Lasercutting, Routing, Milling, Bending etc.

What you'll be doing:

1. Perform a full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement)
2. Plan, conceptualize and create mechanical designs for new products
3. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
4. Design systems and components that meet needs and requirements
5. Test and evaluate theoretical designs
6. Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems
7. Evaluate final products overall performance, reliability and safety
8. Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions
9. Estimate budget and scope of project
10. Prepare product reports and documentation
