Job description
Primary Focus Primary Responsibilities Will Include
the development and maintenance of Reports using Power BI Data Visualization platform Collaboration with other members of Data Services team to ensure alignment with approved development guidelines. Providing feedback and suggestions to continuously improve the Power BI report development practice. Specific Responsibilities Ability to demonstrate complex information and large data set and translate then into meaningful visualization. Making large and/or complex data more accessible, understandable and usable Translate business requirements into technical ones. Assist in end to end scoping and estimation. Integrate into Project Team to lead Power BI development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Perform report and dashboard Ability to demonstrate complex information and large data set and translate then into meaningful visualization. Making large and/or complex data more accessible, understandable and usable Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments effectively, work autonomously in a very fast paced and demanding environment. Technical Skills 5 plus years of data warehousing and Business Intelligence experience using tools like Power BI, Power BI, Qlik, MicroStrategy etc. 3 plus years of experience in design and development of data visualization using Power BI reporting tools. Hands on development experience in developing Analytics and Reporting solutions using Power BI Experience with connecting Power BI to multiple disparate data sources and like snowflake, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SAP HANA, MySQL and cloud data sources. Deep knowledge of Power BI features and functions. Ability to recommend visualization features designs most appropriate to data and analysis needs of business users. SW engineering skills including debugging and troubleshooting skills Must be comfortable with advanced Power BI topics such as complex calculations, table calculations, parameters, geographic mapping, data blending, extract optimization. Experience publishing to and optimizing Power BI Server and participating in upgrades and implementations Deep knowledge and understanding of Data Warehousing and OLAP Concepts. Familiar with other reporting tools such as Power BI, SAP BO etc. Good experience in writing SQL queries Team Skills / Education: Bachelor or master s degrees in science or engineering Experience working with a distributed team spread across multiple sites Advanced communication skills & competency to interact with requestors/users Minimum 5 years of development experience within an Information Technology environment Strong interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communications Strong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishJob tags
