Job description
Associate Professor-Information Technology needed for an Engineering College in Kopergaon, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra
Teaching and supervising undergraduate and graduate students.
Developing and delivering course material, curriculum and syllabus
Assisting with the training and recruitment of new lecturers, teaching assistants, and Professors.
To assist in academic administrative responsibilities required for various accreditation bodies across the year
Conducting research, publishing papers, and attending conferences.
Attending academic events and networking with other researchers and field experts.
Supervising, advising, and mentoring teaching assistants and graduate students.
Participating in faculty and departmental meetings.
Shortlisting, interviewing, and selecting students for graduate programs.
Organizing guest seminars and faculty events where students can interact with established industry professionals.
Ready to travel at other higher education settings to gain experience and expand networks.
Writing proposals to secure research funding.
Requirements:
M.E/M. Tech in Information Technology and Ph.D. +3 years of experience in the relevant discipline / cadre approval in any recognized university
Extensive experience teaching in an academic setting above 10 yrs. or Equivalent industrial experience with ability to train students in academic environment
Proven academic, research / consultancy prowess
Willingness to engage with a range of professionals and students
A professional attitude, great work ethics
Strong analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills
Expertise in either of these with basic ability in others research, consultancy, patent/product development
Willingness to lead new initiatives across the institute
