Working in Application Support means you'll use both creative and critical thinking skills to maintain application systems that are crucial to the daily operations of the firm. You'll work collaboratively in teams on a wide range of projects based on your primary area of focus: design or programming. While learning to fix application and data issues as they arise, you'll also gain exposure to software development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement, in addition to production lifecycle methodologies and risk guidelines. Finally, you'll have the opportunity to develop professionally —and to grow your career in any direction you choose.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop understanding of all developer platforms and applications managed by the Line of business
  2. Handle all customer queries/servicedesk tickets coming via various channels like Jira, Symphony, chat etc.
  3. Provide in depth troubleshooting and problem solving assistance to our customers
  4. Conduct basic system administration and routine maintenance for apps
  5. Offer guidance to customers on product features, usage, best practices
  6. Lead Incident response and resolution efforts when critical issues arise
  7. Monitoring applications and infrastructure, take pro-active action to ensure service availability

Required Skill-Set:

  1. Strong understanding of DevOps principles, methodologies and practices to facilitate collaboration between development & operations teams
  2. Strong experience with CI/CD Pipelines to be able to troubleshoot and automate build, test and deployment process
  3. Experience working with version control systems like Github, Bitbucket etc.
  4. Scripting skills in languages like Bash, Python or PowerShell to automate tasks and streamline processed
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
  6. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Desired Skill-set:

  1. Understanding of monitoring tools and log management systems to track application performance, troubleshoot issues and ensure system health
  2. Knowledge of containerization technologies like docker, kubernetes to manage and scale applications
  3. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
