Maarg is a not-for-profit organization based in Mumbai, India. We facilitate career awareness programs for underprivileged Indian students in grades 9 to 12. Our programs are language-inclusive and delivered by peers and professionals who volunteer to provide free mentorship and resources to encourage full and part-time higher education. It is also seed funded by the Resolution Project based in New York.

Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid voluntary role at our Mumbai location. The Volunteer will contribute to curriculum development, mentorship, and career counseling. They will work with students from diverse backgrounds to provide guidance and support at critical points in their educational path. You can gain experience and work for one of our departments:

• Outreach and Marketing
• Research and Content
• Social Media Design and Creatives
• Technical Development

As the job post is for Social Media Design and Creatives, the main focus will be curating posts for our social media accounts and other business and workshop deliverables.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse team
• Understanding of and empathy with the challenges faced by underprivileged students
• Experience in a non-profit or educational setting is a plus, however no prior experience required.
