Job description
We are looking for an organized, engaging academic counselor for our institute in Irinjalakuda, Thrissur, who will connect students with our institute, programs and resources to help to achieve their career aspirations. The Academic Counselor will meet with students to assess their academic standing and inform them about programs suited to their interests. You will also coordinate between the students and our student coordinators to assist the students with Part-time job interviews, hostel accommodations wherever necessary.
Academic Counselor Responsibilities:
· Assisting students by advising them and showing them several career options and the corresponding courses offered by our institute.
· Highlighting the benefits of our courses compared to other courses offered by other institutes.
· Maintaining accurate and current knowledge of educational legislation, trends, developments, and resources.
Academic Counselor Requirements:
· Any qualification.
· 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar field. Freshers may also apply.
· Experience in admissions may be preferred.
· Familiarity with admissions requirements and processes
· Excellent active listening, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Strong planning and people reading skills.
· Ability to multitask and stay organized.
· Willingness to guide others and provide ongoing support as they make important decisions.
