Linux System Administrator Role Overview We are seeking a talented and experienced Linux System Administrator and networking would be beneficial. As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising our diverse infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of Linux based systems. Above all we are looking for someone with genuine interest in resolving technical problems. Key Responsibilities • Install, configure, and maintain Linux based operating systems. • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize performance and reliability. • Administer and troubleshoot Linux servers, addressing any issues that arise promptly and efficiently. • Ensure best practice security measures and access controls are in place. • Perform routine system updates, patch management, and vulnerability remediation for Linux systems. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy solutions that meet business requirements. • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies for Linux environments. • Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages and configuration management tools. • Conduct security audits, implement security measures, and proactively address vulnerabilities in both Linux systems. • Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and end-users, resolving Linux related issues. • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base. • Respond to security events as may be required, including post-event remediation and lessons-learned reviews. The Right Candidate • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Strong proficiency in Linux, and good knowledge of networking, With Knowledge of all flavours of Linux, RHEL 8,9 Ubuntu 20,22 Rocky, Mint, Centos Etc. • Good familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and networking concepts. • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python. • Understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Cloud, Server hardware, Brocades, Storage). • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues. • Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in Linux, Windows environments. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams. • Detail-oriented mindset and ability to document system configurations and procedures accurately. • Join our team and contribute to the stability, security, and efficiency of our diverse infrastructure and become an integral part of our dedicated team of Systems Administrators. • Familiar and experienced with driving down inefficiencies through automation. • Based in Chennai
