Position SeniorNetwork Engineer
Qualification B.E./B.Tech/M.C.A Certified Networking course CCNA & other relevant certifications Industry Information Technology & Services Computer Software Computer Networking Seniority Level Junior-Mid level Employment Type Full-time Job Functions Support Location Ahmedabad, India Experience & No. of Positions 2 Positions,1-3 Years Key Responsibilities • (A) Network Support • Engineer, design, and deploy SD-WAN Networks based on business, strategic, and technical requirements • Engineer, design, and deploy wireless network services and solutions based on business, strategic, and technical requirements • Act as a support point for all Network Engineers from partners & SI • Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel, and outside vendors to provide technical assistance and support • Develop strategies for a wireless-only, wired+wireless, guest and visitor access using Ray Wireless technology • Interface with Business & IT Executive in order to understand business needs and operational escalations • Provide Root Cause Analysis for Network Events • Handle L3 support cases RCA for complex customer support issues • (B) Documentation • Develop & maintain operational documentation, to include Engineering documentation changes due to operational changes, escalation procedures & vendor contracts • Interface with engineering and product management team to provide product feedback • (C) Deployment • Includes installing, configuring, and maintaining SD-WAN and wireless network equipment, network management • Deploy solutions starting with the proof of concept and continuing through full deployment and support transition to Operations teams • Development & maintenance of Operational Standards Qualification • Minimum 3 years of industry experience as a Network Engineer working on either SD-WAN or Wireless. • Thorough knowledge of Networking Technologies: DNS, DHCP, VPN, Network Security, IP Routing Protocols • Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, Red Hat, etc. • Hands-on knowledge of Firewalls like Sophos, Palo Alto, Fortinet, PFSense, etc. would be helpful. • In-depth understanding of network protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IPSEC, HSRP, VDC, 802.11, 802.1x, SNMP • Working experience working with Wireless technologies specifically using switches like Cisco, Juniper, HP, etc. • Working experience with Wireless touchpoints to identity-based network authentication mechanisms (Cisco ISE, 802.1x, LDAP, Microsoft AD, Radius). • Familiarity with cloud connectivity models for Enterprise extension; specifically AWS, Azure • Hands-on experience using network simulation, automation, and scripting tools • Knowledge and use of network monitoring tools such as Solarwinds Orion, Panorama, Cisco Prime, Wireshark (or similar network packet capture tools) • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills About Ray Ray is an innovation-driven tech company with the purpose to re-imagine networking, WebsiteJob tags
