EHS IT Technical Analyst
Position Summary:
The EHS IT Analyst will ideally have a mix of technical, analytical, and some project skills and experience. This is a client facing IT position for working with strategic, global applications within the 3M Product Stewardship Department which includes these corporate staff groups: Material Environmental Health and Safety & Toxicology Assessment and Compliance Assurance.
The analyst will work on both small one-person projects, and on global, cross-functional teams with differences in language, culture, and time zones, to set up and support capable, client-focused information technology solutions. The 3M Product Stewardship Departments mission is to make sure 3M products comply with global regulations and to ensure the safety of its employees at manufacturing plants.

Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Deploy and support software environments that involve global data privacy regulations, disaster recovery plans and configuration management
- Plan/test/deliver releases with IT apps / infrastructure, software vendor, contract workers, business, etc.
- Collaborate with business on analysis and design of global functional requirements
- Develop detail technical specifications based on business workflow requirements
- Investigate alternative solutions or use of existing systems to meet business needs
- Anticipate, document, and manage the impact of changes to current systems
- Continuously evaluate processes, implement learnings, and apply best practices
- Document complex technical flows and integration for team reference
- Provide timely, accurate, and concise communication to stakeholders
Experience Required:
- Required 3+ years of experience as a Technical Analyst, working on multiple projects and systems, while also honing customer interaction skills
- At least 2+ years experience in .Net, Rest Web services, Windows IIS (good to have), MS SQL Server
- Working experience of hosting applications in Windows application server
- Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools
- Demonstrated ability to grasp and communicate complex system integrations
- Demonstrated ability to work on projects of all sizes in a technical environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid interpersonal and communications skills, working with both theBusiness clients and IT team
- Willingness to gain experience in implementation and management of 3rd party software and driving 3rd party software enhancements to meet 3M business requirements
- Technical experience integrating corporate applications
- Knowledge of both external ("industry standard") IT and3M EHS IT standard processes and documentation
Education and Training Required:
- Bachelors degree in information systems or equivalent experience
