Job description
The Production In charge is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production and delivery of goods. This role involves managing production schedules optimizing resources and implementing quality control measures to meet organizational goals.
Production Planning:
- Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and organizational objectives.
- Coordinate with other departments such as procurement and logistics to ensure seamless production workflows.
Resource Management:
- Allocate and manage resources including manpower equipment and materials to optimize production efficiency.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to support production needs.
Quality Control:
- Implement and enforce quality control standards and procedures to ensure the production of highquality products.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues promptly.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in the production process.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to enhance machinery and equipment performance.
Staff Supervision and Training:
- Supervise production staff and provide leadership to ensure a motivated and skilled workforce.
- Conduct training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of production team members.
Production Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery timelines.
- Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in production requirements.
Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in the production environment.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with other departments such as sales marketing and quality assurance to align production with overall business objectives.
- Provide regular updates on production progress and address any issues or delays.
Cost Management:
- Monitor production costs and work towards optimizing expenses without compromising quality.
- Identify and implement costsaving measures where possible.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of production activities including production reports and performance metrics.
- Generate regular reports for management on production efficiency quality metrics and other relevant KPIs.
